The Oceans, Seas and Seashore

The blue planet and all its secrets has opened a world of wonder to me. Studying the oceans, how they were formed what makes them work and what lives in them is wonderful. New areas of marine science like marine archaeology have also opened up to me. I didn't know or had even heard of marine archaeology or really thought much about shipwrecks before this year. I am learning lots and wanted to catalogue some of it in my pages.

Waves -Physical Oceanography info on the structure of a wave - includes a flowchart used as exam revision

Marine Ecosystems - information about the various tidal zones (Intertidal - littoral zones & habitats) More information on species in these zones is included in 2nd Year topics.

Maritime Seminar. I visited a weekend of Marine Archaeology lectures in Holyhead and decided to do a write up about my visit as I enjoyed myself so much. It has also helped with my 2nd Year Topics in Marine Science & possibly a dissertation topic.

Maritime Lecture

Shipwrecks of North Wales. I wrote this article after writing a paper on local maritime history in which shipwrecks was my main focus.
