Ten hermit crabs from the Blue Reef Aquarium
in Tyne and Wear had outgrown their old shells.
In their natural environment a hermit crab will
then go & search for a bigger crab and in the
wild there have been reports of crabs moving into
coke cans. Thats by the by. These crabs refused
to move into the replacements that staff found
for them. Spacious there new shells may habve been
but they simply were not the sort of desirable
des res that the crabs wanted.
A property search was launched and eventually
thanks to the internet the search ended in a shop
in New York that specialises in painting shells
in unusual colours.
The crabs are very happy with their new shells
now and can be seen proudly poking out of a collection
of glow in the dark, tie dye, paisley patterned
and bright rainbow coloured palaces.
Happy bright little crabs. Just goes to show that
the changing rooms makeover works for most property
hunters. |
