I love being a mummy |
|
I adore being mummy. I adore my baby boy. I have discovered an inner peace that is simply amazing. I have never felt so fulfilled as a human being. It is as if I have realised that there is so much in life that does not merit being concerned about. Life is far too short and precious to waste time being stressed about inconsequential things. There is so much that simply does not seem to matter anymore. There is something far more important in my life. The moment he was born he instantly became the most important thing in the world to me. I would die for him. I have that absolute primal animal instinct of maternal protectiveness. I have been totally happy since Zachary was born not to see anyone, pick up the phone or even bother going anywhere. I simply am content to exist in a stop the world baby bubble, just me and my baby. This is the biggest life-changing experience ever. Its wonderful. Considering it is something I had not expected to do I can't believe I feel this way. So content, so happy. Simply amazing. |

Thankyou to Health Visitors, Midwifes and Doctors |
|
I would like to say a big thank you to all the medical staff who have helped and continue to help Zachary and I. Its so nice if you get on well with your health care professionals. We have a wonderful Health visitor called June Bridger with the South Worcestershire PCT. June is fabulous. We have been so lucky down here in Hereford and Worcestershire to meet some amazing health care people. A great midwife who saved Zachary and I from any serious harm, a fabulous Neonatal team and all the lovely amazing staff in Transitional Care at Worcester Royal Infirmary. I have coped with a poorly baby so much better and easier thanks to the support and care I have had right from the start. P.s No he didn't sleep last night but its fine we just get on with it. It won't last forever. |

Mum was so pleased with the care that we received that she wrote a letter to the local Paper. They liked the letter so much they printed an article. You can see them here. If you click on each photograph there is a link to a larger version of the letter and the article. To be honest I had almost forgotton about them. It was in january when I was so busy with Zachary a lot of the world seemed to pass by while I lived in this baby bubble. |

Read my personal pregnancy diary. Some of the information is taken from books and other sources. The journey in terms of official information has been a little bit like reading the 'Hitch Hikers Guide to Pregnancy' in other words sticking a wet fish in your ear seems like a perfectly normal thing to do next to learning the experience of pregnancy. I decided to follow my pregnancy from the point at which I discovered I was pregnant right up to birth and beyond. I feel a bit like the intrepid space voyagers in Star Trek. All of this is completely new territory. The beyond part in particular is uncharted territory for me. Its all an adventure though and since I have become used to tweaking my web site what better place for me to catalogue some of the official info I discover along with some of my personal thoughts, feelings and adventures. |
