August 2005. Swimming and baby talc (Pregnancy
diary Week 15 for me) |
Went
for a lovely swim again this morning
and for about 20 minutes was all on my
own in the pool which is so nice. No
one to create ripples apart from you.
The water is all flat and calm and you
can loose yourself in the coolness, quietness
and calmness of it all. The only weird
thing was all I could smell was baby
talcum powder !
Took a quick trip to Tesco to buy soft
scoop ice-cream , cornets and squeezy
strawberry sauce. Small indulgence to
enjoy while in the hammock. Besides
Mum
& Dad are visiting this weekend with
my Auntie and her little boy & Ice-creams
seems a good idea. Photographed
the lily growing in my garden pond. I
have 6 fish in the pond. Received
my delivery from Isabella
Oliver which
arrived in the most amazing box. The
off the shoulder black maternity top
is simply gorgeous and worth being broke
for. Next month I am treating myself
to the wrap top for sure ! Anyone looking
for gorgeous maternity clothes should
definitely check out the Isabella
Oliver site |

Sunday 14th August .
Family came to visit (Pregnancy diary Week
15 cont) |
Mum
& Dad arrived with Mel & Josh late thursday
afternoon. Too late to go out I cooked
and we sorted out where everyone was
staying. It was crowded having the house
full but nice at the same time. Friday
we did the trip down memory lane around
Anglesey (my mum grew up in Anglesey).
We finished up playing in the rock pools
at Penmon around the lighthouse beach.
We found crabs, shrimp and fish & since
I love the sea it was my favourite part
of the whole 4 days.
Saturday we went to see the new Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory film at Bangor
Cinema. I loved it but then I think both
Jonny Depp & Tim Burton are great. Sunday
we moved all my bedroom furniture back
and had a general tidy and clean up around
the garden and garage. It was great to
see them and I was pretty sad when they
left. |

Pregnancy Diary Week 16
the Official stuff - Second Trimester |
Looking
at the size of the sac no wonder I have
a stomach that looks like a balloon.
People keep asking me if I am sure i
am not having twins ! Apparently my baby
is now starting to form fat.
Already - my gosh amazing to think we
start to put on fat at 16 weeks old.
No wonder its so hard to loose. Apart
from that the baby's nails are well formed
and some babies even need to have their
nails trimmed at birth. The ears
have also moved into place on the head
and
baby's eyebrows and eyelashes are starting to grow.
This is the week of "mights!". You
might hear the tiny thumps of a heartbeat,
or movement as it starts to dance about.
I could swear 'Peanut' was swimming with
me this week in the pool. Gave me stitch!
The genitals are developed sufficiently
that an experienced sonographer might
be able to determine if your baby
is a boy or a girl. Scan coming soon
can't wait ! |

Tuesday 23rd August . Working
and swimming (Pregnancy diary Week 16) |
Weather
not been too good this last week or so.
Took the time to catch up on some work
work. Took a break every day to swim
but mostly sat at the computer. I did
take a day out on saturday and visited
the Holyhead Maritime
Festival with a
friend. It was a great day that although
started out gloomy became sunny and warm.
By the time I had got home, nipped out
to see a mate & sat for an hour with
the girlies as they prepared for a night
on the tiles I was shattered and ready
for bed. Sunday I should have been working
but actually bought some new plants for
the pond then sat on the beach at Penmom
again. My ulterior motive was to fill
a pot with stones off the bay to stand
my new pond plants in.
